VERY SAFE TO PUT ON/TAKE OFF SHOES

The concept of the Kéo Blade 2, based on a carbon blade, allows for a more rigid release and to eject the foot much more quickly at the end of release than with a traditional spring, which makes the pedal very secure. However, to satisfy all cyclists, the Kéo Blade 2 is available in 3 different hardnesses: here in version 12 for the majority. Version 16 for riders looking for more support and version 20 for those looking for maximum support. It is possible to switch from one version to another by changing the blade using a specific tool.

AERODYNAMIC PROFILE

Thanks to the complete integration of the carbon spring blade into the pedal body, the Kéo Blade 2 is the pedal with the most aerodynamic profile ever created. In addition, the two channels on either side of the body allow for optimal air flow.

MAXIMUM WIDTH AND SUPPORT SURFACE

The support surface of the Kéo Blade 2 is equipped with a 68 mm wide overmolded stainless steel plate. The contact area between the cleat and the stainless steel plate is 700 mm² of support surface (the largest support surface offered by Look) and 64 mm of support width. The additional width of the support plate compared to the width of the cleat allows the cleat to always be in maximum contact with the pedal, whatever the pedaling angle adopted.

CONTACT PERMANENT STOP WEDGES FOR BETTER STABILITY

In order to improve stability and support of the foot, work has been carried out so that the cleat perfectly matches the shape of the stop and is always in contact with it whatever the pedaling angle.

The weight of the pedal has been further reduced compared to the previous version. This is possible thanks to a new choice of a thinner and therefore lighter axle line and a gain in the material of the pedal body.

HIGH RELIABILITY

• Particular attention has been paid to reliability: very high resistance body, stainless steel support surface, oversize axle and double sealing make this pedal a very safe and durable product.
• Axle line: For greater reliability, the new axle line of the Kéo Blade 2 allows to reduce the support height while using an oversize Chromoly axle.
• LOOK axles are only validated after a rotation test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg on the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (which creates a shock at each turn). This test is much higher than the standard in force (EN14781). A double seal ensures a very long life of the bearings.
